What is Red Ring of Death?
October 31, 2009 – 1:39 am“Red Ring of Death” (or you may call “3 Red Lights” or “3 Red Lights of Death” or “RROD”) is the most shameful Microsoft Xbox 360 problem.
There are two possible causes of this issue (1) a general hardware problem or (2) a power supply problem.
Is there a warning sign?
Yes. You may find some symptoms such as freezing graphics, no response console, no sound, controller getting hang.
How can I fix it?
At first, we want to quickly figure-out what would be the cause.
Ok move on! First thing first, turn on your Xbox 360 and check your power supply light.
If the light of power supply is turning Red or Orange or unlit, it might have something wrong with the power supply.
Try changing the outlet or room and then turn on your Xbox 360 and check the light again.
If you are still facing the same problem, you may need to replace your power supply.
The 2nd cause : General Hardware Problem
From above testing, if the light is turning Green. It should have something wrong with your Xbox 360 hardware.
